Rules:
1. Post the rules
2. Answer each question truthfully
3. Tag 3-5 people at the end
+++
1. What was your first cosplay?
Gaara, actually. At Japan Town Anime Fair in 2005.
2. Did someone get you into cosplay? Or on your own?
I had a friend in high school who introduced me to the concept when he told me he was cosplaying Sanzo from Saiuki to Anime Expo. After that I went looking for other cons that were closer and less expensive, and decided to cosplay Gaara to it on my own.
3. What is your favorite cosplay?
Ooooo tough one... *has to ponder about this*... In the past it's been Xigbar, but the hair piece I made for him is starting to fall apart so I tend to be gentle with him now. Sniper from TF2 is always a butt load of fun, too. :3
4. Which is your least favorite cosplay?
Gaara, right now. 'Cause I can't just throw him on and look good for just random crack things 'cause of the eyebrow shaving deal. Not to mention I no longer have a gourd and I hate when key props and clothing items are missing from a cosplay unless it's supposed to be complete crack.
5. At conventions, do people compliment you on your cosplays?
They tend to, yes, but I couldn't say they compliment me more than they'd compliment anyone else who puts time into the hobby.
6. How many have you done?
Pfffff.... huuuurr... at least 18, and working on at least 5. That doesn't even come close to covering the stuff I want to cosplay.
7. What are the top 6 on your list of "Want to Cosplay"?
Some of these are already in the works, some of them I doubt I'll ever get around to, but damn do I want to do them. XD
-McCoy - Star Trek Reboot
-Link - LoZ: Twilight Princess/SSB Brawl
-Nero - Star Trek Reboot
-A surprise that my friend and I are working on, potentially.
-Rorschach - Watchmen
-Aragorn/Strider - Lord of the Rings
8. What female cosplay do you want to do most?
It's part of that surprise eventuality thing.
9. What male?
Link, actually. I've been wanting to cosplay him for yeeeears.
10. What do you prefer to do, make or buy your costumes?
Make. Makemakemake. The making is the fun part, figuring out all the technicalities and seeing how well you can bull shit something into looking good. If I have to buy elements of a cosplay then I will, but there are always, always elements on my cosplays that I made by hand.
11. Your most memorable experience? What makes it so memorable?
Pffft. Blimey. There's way too many and I'm way too lazy. I'll just list the time that I was Xigbar and fell asleep in a beanbag chair and ended up drooling on myself. Someone took a picture too. That whole con was pretty great 'cause of the Kingdom Hearts peeps I hung out with, actually. Awesome times.
12. Your dream cosplay?
Something really big and impressive with lots of armor or moving parts and awesome makeup. Something that catches eyes just by trying to move five feet down the hallway in a con.
13. Is there a pattern in your cosplays Characters? If so, what?
Facial. Hair. Seriously. Sideburns, goatees, stubble, beards, I've done them all.
14. Your most recent cosplay?
Already made? Soul Eater. Working on? Either Kio from Loveless or McCoy from Star Trek.
15. What do you prefer? Cosplaying in a group or on your own?
Groups, definitely. Character interaction gives you soooo much to play off of for pictures, hanging out, and general awesome. Even if it's not planned, I always end up dicking around with people in cosplays from the same series just because it's damn fun.
